About Jill
The first thing you need to know is that I love English! I love reading and writing (and have written several books for children and adults), and I love it so much that I want to help you love it too!
I have taught this subject online for three years now and have helped many children (just like you) to understand the different skills you need to succeed in learning English. In my lessons, you will learn all the different aspects of English that help you read and write brilliant sentences and stories (by using verbs, nouns, adverbs, adjectives etc., correctly). Best of all, you will have fun as you learn! You should never be scared of telling me if you don't quite understand something. My job is to help you understand!

Having worked in mainstream education for more years than I care to think about (!) I have learned that bringing an element of fun into a lesson has a big impact on learners. I teach by focussing on the positives rather than the negatives, understanding that children do not all learn in the same way, nor within the same timeframe. In mainstream education, teaching staff work to a strict curriculum which does not allow all learners to keep up. I make sure that all students understand the topic being taught before moving on to the next. The lessons I offer are an hour in length and are tailored to learners aged between 6 and 11 years.
