I like doing lessons with Jeremey because he is positive and helpful during the lesson. If there was a mistake in an exercise we were working on he takes it step by step to make it better. In addition, when we fix mistakes it’s in a very uplifting way. His lessons are very helpful and positive!

I have been a student of Jeremy's for six months now and I can see a lot of improvement in myself as a musician. Jeremy has helped me with pieces I'm struggling with and taught me ways to learn them on my own. He's introduced me to a lot of music theory that has made music make so much more sense and easier to play. I look forward to our lessons each week because he makes them fun and enjoyable.

Jeremy is honestly the coolest guy I know, and he made learning trumpet so awesome! However, one day my trumpet broke, and Jeremy gave me a piano lesson instead, and It was so much fun!! (I already have been playing piano for less than a year and wanted to also take on trumpet.) However, because of our lesson on the piano and with my trumpet being broken for multiple weeks, I decided to focus more on piano for now. However, if I do feel like trumpet again, Jeremy is where I’m going to!!!

He provided the best advice and guidance for me throughout our lessons we shared. I have enjoyed working with Mr. Alvarez because he is knowledgeable and patient. His expertise has allowed me to become the best version of myself.

I've been taking lessons from Jeremy for 3 years now, going on four. He's really flexible on the contents of his lessons. Whether you want to learn something new or work on something you've already started, Jeremy does what you would like and will help you work theouh whatever music or technique that needs to be practiced and refined. And if you have nothing, he often will either choose a skill set to help you refine, or will teach you something new and interesting. He's very passionate about playing the teumpet and strives to help you be the very best player that you can be and then some. Jeremy's also understanding as well. If you're sick, or have another event already planned, he's fine with skipping lessons for the week. He'd extremely dedicated to making tou your health comes first before the trumpet, and I appreciate that a lot.

Jeremy has been working with my 13 year-old son for one hour per week for about a year. The knowledge my son has gained is far beyond anything I expected. Jeremy has a deep understanding of the trumpet and how to play it properly but also has a keen instructing style that allows him to impart his understanding in a very coherent way that even my child can understand. Jeremy is my first and only music instrument teacher. I have him since January 2022. He is friendly. (He has to. I am old enough to be his grandmother.) To best help each students, he tailors
lessons accordingly. (An assessment from my eave-droppings on lesson times before and after mine in
the studio.)
I have a bucket list. Learning to play trumpet is on this list, right up there next to the #1: learning
to fly an airplane. Family members choke-held me on the floor when they heard of it. (And it will be too
expensive to pass muster on my cost-effect calculator.) So trumpet it is. I am very fortunate to have Jeremy as a teacher. He tolerates my rapid-firing questions, grins big when I bring him lemons from home. Most of all, he aims to break some bad habits I inevitaby formed
while self-taught during the pandemic lockdown. (“Youtube academy of such & such”, anyone?)
With his encouragement, I joined the area “Ontario Community Showband”. I would bring in
sheets of music from the monthly concert, and Jeremy walks me through each tune to mark them up so I
can actually play! It's like having a private tutor helping with homework. Even as a third chair in the
trumpet section, I enjoy MAKING MUSIC! (Look Mom, 3 valves, not 88 keys!)

Jeremy has been giving me Trumpet lessons for a few months and has really helped me learn to read the music but also strengthen my sound and technics. I really enjoy the songs that he teaches me during our lessons. Jeremy is very professional, nice and makes my Trumpet lessons fun.
