About Chris
With over 20 years of experience and a career as a professional performing violinist, I offer high-quality violin instruction for students of all levels—whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your playing to the next stage. Based in the Tampa Bay Area, my lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, blending solid technical foundation with musical expression. My approach is both patient and motivating, designed to help you build confidence, refine your skills, and develop a deep appreciation for the instrument. Whether your goal is to play for personal enjoyment or perform on stage, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
I started teaching in highschol at the Patel Conservatory. I tauggt young children violin and viola. I have also woked at different studio locations throughout Tampa and now teach my own private lessons.
I have over 20 years of experience in playing Violin, Viola, and Piano. I have performed with bands and orchestras across Florida and other parts of the U.S. I attended FSU for Music Performance and continue perform regularly.

First I asses what they want to learn and what they may already know. From there we work on the mechanics of the instrument such as holding it properly and feeling comfortable with it. Basic reading and music theory is necesarry to help memorize, improvise, and achieve goals. So if you are looking play as a side hobby or make it a full fleged career you will have the tools needed!
I have worked with students as young as 5 to students who are 65. Whether you are shy, bold, or just curious it is totally ok.
I am now collaborating with the Straz Center for a tribute video for Elijah McClain. Last August he was wrongfully a victim of police brutality in Colorado. Elijah was a violin player as well so I am arranging/organizing music and violin players across Tampa Bay to do a special collaboration video of the hauntingly relevant song "Perfect Way To Die" by Alicia Keys.
