About Brenda
Brenda first discovered yoga when she was about 12 years old and has been practicing throughout her life. It was not until 2012, however, that she learned that she wanted to teach, and she completed a 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training recognized by the Yoga Alliance (at the 200-hour level) at World Peace Yoga, Cincinnati, Ohio. Since that time, she has enjoyed teaching yoga to adults and children at various locations in Price Hill and Covington. Brenda is certified to teach multiple styles of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation.
I have a passion for yoga and sharing its benefits with others. I especially enjoy the people I work with and being part of the yoga community.
I entered the yoga teacher training course to deepen my own practice with no intention of teaching. As I took the course, though, a yoga teacher began to emerge from within me. I diligently did all of the practice teaching; by the time I completed the course, I was offered a sub position for an after school yoga program and quickly became permanent.
I studied yoga at World Peace Yoga where I received my teaching certificate. Since then, I am constantly learning new things through reading, videos, workshops and additional classes

Typically I try to talk with the new student before class if t8me allows; if not then after class. When I know I have a new student in the class, I make a special effort to be very specific in cuing how to be in a pose and watch to ensure the student is safely in the pose.
I have worked with students at all levels and all ages and various needs, including students with autism and chair yoga with the elderly.
Every teacher is unique in their gifts. If you don’t immediately find a teacher you like, don’t give up on yoga. I believe there is a yoga teacher out there to fit every need.
My favorite classes are the ones where community begins to form and friendships flourish.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Don’t be embarrassed to share what you want from a class or what you feel are your limitations. A good yoga teacher holds no judgment, and you should feel comfortable wherever you are.

The meaning of yoga for me is the perfect merge of mind, body and spirit, which Brenda always delivers, engaging all of one's senses in the practice. She is great with all levels, offering each pose in beginner, moderate or challenging options. She is a refreshing spirit, and I always leave recharged after an hour with Brenda.
