About Anna
Anna Boyd, MA LCAT-P, RYT200Creative Arts Therapist/Yoga Teacher
Anna Marie Boyd is a creative arts therapist from Dallas, TX. She received her master’s degree from New York University in Drama Therapy, where she worked as a expressive arts liaison to facilitate the integration of the dance, music, art, and drama therapy departments. She has worked with a variety of populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Some of these include a forensic psych unit at Bellevue Hospital, the Veteran Affairs Hospital in West Haven, CT, and a PROS day program in Brooklyn for individuals living with chronic and persistent mental illnesses. She is also a NASM certified personal trainer, and believes in the power of the maintaining a wholesome physical well being. So whether she is utilizing mindfulness, improvisation, dance, poetry, drama or yoga, she conducts therapy through many different creative lenses and believes that the physical body can foster individual growth and promote personal well being.
I come from a background in embodied therapies. I was facinated by the power of mind/body connection.
I have a master's degree in drama therapy (movement therapy) from New York University, and I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Woom Center in New York City. Our training consisted of trauma informed yoga, pre natal yoga, and general vinyasa practice.

I like to start with a phone consultation before agreeing to work together. This gives me a sense of what my client needs/is looking for and determines whether or not we will be a good fit before commiting to working together.
I work full time as a creative arts therapist. I have worked with veterans, adults and children with chronic and persistent mental illnessess, a lot of students, women with body image struggles, and just anyone who is looking for personalized coaching.
