About Candice
I am a certified yoga instructor. I've been instructing for almost 4yrs and I am very passionate about yoga being a practice that everybody should feel comfortable experiencing. Yoga can seem intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. It should be fun, disciplined and enjoyable. I've taught yoga for the Michigan State University's students of human medicine, I've taught mindfulness and yoga to elementary students, I've taught chair yoga in senior centers and prenatal yoga at local health clinics. I love assisting in my students teaching their goals on and off the mat.
I enjoy the fellowship and connection that takes place in group sessions and I enjoy watching students find a deeper understanding of self in private sessions. Yoga is the perfect tool to develop good mental health and relaxation in the body. The benefits of yoga are endless!
I was strongly encouraged to become an instructor through an elder that thought my passion for yoga should be shared with others. That decision lead me to become certified and I'm grateful everyday for making that choice.
I am certified in the Ashtanga style of yoga and I've also studied Hatha.

My typical process with new students is learning what goals they want to achieve with yoga and finding out how we can safely and realistically meet those expectations through a consistent practice.
I've worked with students from all backgrounds, fitness levels and body types. I've taught chair yoga to seniors citizens, mindfulness to elementary students, prenatal yoga at local health clinics, I've taught students of human medicine at Michigan State University and I've hosted my own energy healing retreat. I've had incredible opportunities to meet and teach wonderful people through my yoga practice.
My advice in finding the perfect teacher for you is to trust the vibe. You want to feel a safe connection with your instructor. Yoga asks that you display vulnerability and your instructors job is to facilitate a safe space for that to happen safely.
I'm most proud of my work with every student I've encountered because being a teacher of yoga makes me a constant student of yoga myself. Each session that I teach is an opportunity for both my student and myself to experience growth.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
One of the main questions a student should ask themselves before talking a yoga instructor is if they are ready to commit and invest in their mental health and wellness. Yoga provides benefits far beyond fitness, but it takes a commitment.
Students should also figure out how many days a week they'd like to practice.

I like to offer my classes in packaged sessions to ensure a consistent practice that delivers results. The most popular packages are 6 sessions for $100 or 10 sessions for $180. It's very affordable and accessible. Students receive membership cards upon sign up and certificates of achievement after all sessions have been completed to document and celebrate how far we've come!
