About Lila
I’m a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Violin Performance. I love working with young children, using playful and age-appropriate strategies to make learning enjoyable. My lessons often include storytelling, rhythm games, and movement to keep little learners engaged and excited. I introduce simple melodies that help build technique while nurturing musicianship from the start. I draw on Suzuki and Kodály-inspired methods to create a strong foundation in ear training and musical understanding. These approaches encourage children to learn naturally and confidently. My teaching style is warm, patient, and designed to spark imagination. I believe that music should be a joyful experience for every child. Through fun and creative activities, I help students develop both skill and a love for the violin. I’m passionate about creating a positive space where young players feel encouraged to explore and grow. Let’s make your child’s violin journey full of fun, creativity, and joy!

My violin teaching methodology centers on physical awareness, mental focus, and cultivating musical flow. I emphasize breathing techniques to support relaxed playing and steady tone production. A relaxed left-hand technique is key to preventing tension and enabling fluid finger movement. Smooth, controlled bowing helps students achieve expressive sound and dynamic control.
I encourage students to visualize music patterns, which deepens their connection to the piece and improves memory. Building healthy practice habits is essential, so I guide learners to pace themselves and avoid strain or injury. This approach fosters both emotional safety and physical ease, creating a calm and supportive learning space.
Whether students thrive with imaginative learning or clear goal-setting, I tailor lessons to suit their needs. The focus is always on balanced progress and enjoyment of music. Together, we nurture confidence and skill, helping students find their unique voice on the violin. My approach promotes long-term growth in both technique and artistry.
