About Joel
Hey, I am Joel a 17 year old pianist, violinist and composer who has recently been offered a place at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland next year. I currently study with head of RCS juniors Francis Cummings and have more than 10 years of experience from an accolade of international competitions which I’ve competed in and won. I also compose and have performed my own compositions in the Queens Hall in Edinburgh a couple of times. Improvising is one of my big passions and I have many improvisations on my YouTube channel. I also love performing in chamber groups and orchestras in where I work closely with other musicians. Along side performing I also teach and have a successful student who entered the Edinburgh Competition Festival last year with his own arrangement of a piece.

Joel teaches everyone, from kids who are just starting out, to high school kids and adults at any beginning/ moderate stage.
He will help you set targets, develop a good foundation and ultimately guide you to whatever goals you have, whether that’s just being able to play timeless classics or becoming more advanced.
If you are interested in improvisation and composition Joel has tons of experience in those areas and would be happy to give lessons on those.
Taking you from simple improvisation to being able to show off to your friends.
If you are in the school system he can also help you pass violin exams (e.g. ABRSM UK) from grade 1 to grade 8, and can also guide you for competitions etc.
Providing the upmost quality but always keeping it fun and engaging in lessons.
