About Oliver
I hold a BSc in Chemistry with Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology and have studied chemistry at a high level. My degree included practical lab work, in-depth theoretical study, and work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, giving me insight into real-world applications of chemistry. Since completing my studies, I have worked across several industries, which has shown me how the skills gained from chemistry, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis, can be applied in different fields. This perspective helps me show students not only how to succeed in exams but also how chemistry connects to future careers and everyday life. I am passionate about making chemistry accessible and engaging, helping students connect theory to practical applications. My experience also includes working with neurodivergent individuals, and I take an adaptable, student-centred approach to ensure lessons are effective and supportive for all learners.

I offer engaging and structured chemistry tuition for GCSE and A-Level students, helping students build confidence and improve their understanding of key concepts. My approach is tailored to each student’s needs, whether they’re aiming to secure a strong foundation or push for top grades. Lessons typically would be 60 minutes long, however depending on the student need they can be made shorter or longer for best results. In this time we will have a mix of clear explanations, problem-solving practice, and exam-style questions to reinforce learning. I focus on breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, ensuring students not only memorise facts but truly understand the subject. With this approach, students will have peace of mind knowing they'll be able to tackle unexpected questions through their assessments. I hold a BSc in Chemistry with Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology, and I understand the challenges of studying the complex subject of chemistry to a high level. My studies included lots of practical lab work, interesting modules and work experience in the pharmaceutical industry so I know how to bring the subject to life. Since my studies, I've also worked in several industries and can communicate how powerful the transferable skills are in this fascinating subject. My lessons are ideal for GCSE and A-Level students who want to strengthen their knowledge, refine exam techniques, and develop confidence in tackling tricky topics. I am also experienced in working with neurodivergent individuals, ensuring a supportive and adaptable learning environment that caters to different thinking styles and learning needs.
