About Aimee
I am a Piano tutor with over 22 years of teaching experience, guiding students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My goal is to make piano learning enjoyable, structured, and effective while helping students develop strong technical skills and a love for music.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and steady progress. I focus on building strong fundamentals including hand posture, finger technique, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory. At the same time, I encourage students to explore creativity and self-expression so that learning piano is both fun and meaningful. Lessons are explained in simple English and supported by practical exercises, familiar songs, and real-life examples to make learning engaging.
I adapt lessons to each student’s learning pace and goals. For children, I use interactive methods to maintain interest and engagement, while for adults and working professionals, I provide structured sessions that are flexible and efficient. I also guide students on effective home practice and performance preparation. Over the years, many of my students have performed confidently, passed graded exams, and developed lifelong musical skills. Helping students grow musically is the most rewarding part of my work.

I follow a teaching methodology that emphasises compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I believe that each student learns differently, and my role is to tailor lessons to their pace, style, and goals. In piano lessons, I focus on building technical skills, musical understanding, and creative expression while making learning engaging and enjoyable.
I break down complex skills into manageable steps, provide demonstrations, and encourage active practice and experimentation. I celebrate achievements, give constructive feedback, and create a supportive environment that motivates students to keep improving.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same flexible, student-centred approach. My aim is to help students develop skill, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning and self-expression.
