About Lindsey
I am an experienced violin tutor with 9+ years of teaching practice, having successfully guided around 300 students from different age groups and skill levels. I teach high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them develop both technical skills and a love for music.
My teaching philosophy focuses on making learning simple, structured, and enjoyable. I pay close attention to fundamentals such as posture, bowing technique, intonation, and tone quality, while also encouraging students to develop their own musical expression. I design lessons based on each student’s level and goals, ensuring steady progress over time.
I also provide practice routines that help students improve outside of lessons. One of my notable achievements is helping students grow from beginners to confident violin players. My goal is to create a positive and engaging learning experience where students feel confident and motivated.

My violin teaching philosophy is based on communication, flexibility, and connecting lessons to practical musical experiences. I recognize that every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to their learning style, pace, and goals.
I focus on posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone, phrasing, and expressive skills while also encouraging creativity and interpretation. I use real-life examples such as performing songs, practicing for recitals, and understanding how music works in real-world settings to make lessons meaningful.
I also teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen overall musical understanding. My goal is to provide a supportive and engaging environment where students develop confidence, skill, and a love for music.
