About Mike
I have over twelve years experience as an HR professional in a multinational company, currently working as a Director of HR, but having worked as a talent development manager and learning and development practitioner before. I am passionate about people and seeing them grow and develop. In my career, I have managed over 30 individuals and have proudly seen all of them grow and be promoted in the company I work for. This gives me energy unlike anything else.
I am new to career coaching and therefore am charging very competitively... this is a new career direction I am exploring and very excited about. Although I have never formally coached like this, I have been mentoring and guiding people in my company for twelve years, assisting employees with their CVs, resumes, cover letters, personal brand and interview technique. I have a nurturing, patient and relaxed training style (not my words, the words of the employees I have assisted!) and take pride in treading that fine line between being available and ready help, but also knowing when and how to take a step back and let the success come from the people I am helping.
This last sentence is the core and fundamental belief I have about career coaching and coaching in general: everyone has it in themselves to succeed. I see myself as the 'facilitator'; to facilitate extracting that innate knowledge and putting it into practice. We can do it together!

I am ready to help young people/school leavers, career starters, career transitioners and anyone in between who is seeking advice, coaching and consultation over elements or the entirety of their application arsenal.
I will begin with a one on one consultation call to understand where you are in your career journey and where you want it to go. We will then discuss what resources you have and what needs to be focused on; this might be a review of your CV/resume, cover letters and an 'audit' of your personal brand. Based on these discussions, I will ask you to critique these elements yourself before giving you some ideas of what might need to be changed. I can lead the changes myself but it's always more rewarding for you to lead this process, with me providing the business and theoretical framework. If you are actively searching for roles, then we will discuss the roles you are applying for, what these employers are seeking and how to align your career brand with their expectations. I will conduct mock behavioural interviews with you in the fiercest, toughest way imaginable, to 'boot-camp' you ready for any interview you attend in the future (tough interviews following modern recruitment trends are my superpower)
The outputs from this process would be twofold; firstly you would be readier than ever before the next step in your career journey. Secondly, the knowledge you gained would have come from you - and this will enable you to sustain success independently in the long term.
