About Gemma
I have been a french teacher for the past 20 years and was the head of department until September until we decided to go travelling around the world and tutoring keeps my love of teaching going! . I have taught KS3, gcse and A level and undertaken speaking exams and been trained by the exam boards. I understand how difficult it can be to learn French and will make it as fun and pain free as possible!
I have a daughter at university who also studied an A level language so appreciate the difficulty in practising speaking French.
I am have tutored students 1-1 and 2-1 for friends who feel happier working with one another.
I am happy to teach a course, explain grammar, go over a past paper, do revision, or just have a speaking session.
I will return to classroom teaching once we have finished exploring this amazing world.
I think it is important to feel confident, enjoy learning and know that you can make mistakes and no one will laugh at you.
The French actually find the English accent attractive!
In a time of isolation, the more you can learn about another country, culture and language, the more rounded a person you will become.
(I do have a full and current DBS but am unable to access it as am travelling away from home.)
