About Murtaza

I’ve loved programming since my A Levels. What began as simple curiosity grew into a deep fascination with how logic, maths, and creativity work together. Over time, I explored programming across different domains, often building small projects just for fun. My growing interest in artificial intelligence led me to pursue independent research and even apply to Sakana AI, where innovation meets curiosity-driven problem solving. That same curiosity shapes how I teach. I want my students to see learning as exploration, not just memorising formulas but understanding how ideas connect to the real world. I pay close attention to detail, encourage questions, and help students develop both confidence and precision in their thinking. My goal is to inspire a genuine love of learning and show how powerful knowledge becomes when it is truly understood.

I teach by connecting theory to real understanding — not memorisation. My approach focuses on building strong conceptual foundations and applying them to practical, real-world problems, especially in Computer Science and Mathematics. I’ve previously taught O-Level students and love showing how what we learn in class powers the technology around us. A typical lesson lasts about an hour and is tailored to each student’s pace. My classes are fully online, flexible, and designed to be thought-provoking. I follow the school curriculum closely while encouraging students to go the extra mile — through independent research, critical thinking, and curiosity-driven learning. I’m a final-year Computer Science student at Heriot-Watt University with hands-on experience in AI, programming, and mathematical modelling. I value attention to detail, patient explanation, and helping students not just prepare for exams, but truly enjoy learning.
