About Ria
I am very passionate about teaching and always enjoyed science and maths at school, which is why I am studying Medicine, to pursue these further. I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others to feel more confident in their work and also help them progress to reach their full potential. I have previously tutored students in both maths and science, and they successfully passed their GCSE exams and felt confident in their work. I have also worked as a teaching assistant at AE Tuition, where I helped students working towards the 11+ exams with their homework and practice papers. I have completed my fourth year of medical school St. Georges, University of London, and have also completed a Cardiovascular Medicine iBSc at King’s College London.

When I was studying, I learnt how important it is to have a firm grasp on the basics of each topic, and then building further on this knowledge. I will make sure to follow the same methodology with any student, to ensure they have a good basic understanding and then build on that. I would make sure to ask the student what they are struggling with the most and go through those topics thoroughly. Giving homework and exam questions will be another one of my methods because the student should have the most practice possible, in order to feel prepared and confident for their exams.
