About Riya

Hi, I am Riya Chitnis. I have completed 5 years of medical school in University of Debrecen and currently in my final year. I have a strong interest in physiology, pathology and internal medicine. I enjoy helping students gain confidence by explaining concepts clearly and patiently. My teaching style is interactive and visual, and I always adapt my lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and preferred way of learning. I enjoy teaching students in my free time because it not only allows me to help others but also helps me grow, expand my knowledge and keep learning. I offer a 30 minute free demo of any lesson of your choice, book your session today and let's lock in!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on making difficult concepts simple, visual and easy to remember. I like to teach using a whiteboard style method, similar to Ninja Nerd, where I break topics down step by step with diagrams, flowcharts and clear explanations.

I explain textbook theory using real life clinical scenarios that I have encountered during my clinical practice, so students can understand how the knowledge is actually applied.

I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching pace and style depending on the student’s needs. I repeat concepts patiently until the student fully understands them. I also create helpful notes to make revision easier. To check progress, I use oral mock quizzes and active recall questions during lessons.

A typical lesson can be around 1 hour, but I am flexible depending on the student’s preference, attention span and the depth of the topic.

I have completed my final year of medical school before the internship year, which has given me a strong foundation in medical and science subjects such as biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and clinical concepts.

My lessons are suitable for school students, college students, pre-medical students, medical students and anyone who wants to understand biology or medical subjects in a clearer and more structured way.

I had the privilege of learning Anatomy from Riya Ma’am during my first year of medical school. As a Superprof, she is not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the subject but also incredibly kind and patient. What truly sets her apart is how deeply she considers her students' perspectives. Anatomy can be an overwhelming subject, but she consistently took the time to break down complex structures and adjust her teaching style so that we could genuinely understand the material rather than just memorize it. I highly recommend Riya Ma’am to other Superprof members because she is a dedicated and thoughtful educator who genuinely wants to see her students succeed and build their confidence.
