About the lesson

My Method/Technique is that every lesson needs to be custom to that child and their specific interests/talents. Every lesson I create will have the child fully involved with identifying their strengths and abilities in Music and how to improve. As well as gaining knowledge.
I am very unique! I love to spend time showing children how to appreciate different forms of music/instruments as well as being able to preform themselves.
I move through different plans and lessons each day but the main routine is:
1. Opening song, Something usually inspiring (I will play a song/we will listen in and observe different parts/instruments/sounds)
2. Instrument of focus-Usually the knowledge section; I describe 1 or multiple instruments involved in our "Opening Song".
3. Vocals- we take a look at the different notes sung in the song, keys, pitch, tone, depth, e.t.c (and then we practice repeating them together)
4. Scales- Everyday for vocal students we will be practicing our scales, This is when your student will activate their vocal chords and practice!
5. (Vocal Students)- A song will be chosen, we will practice a few times, correct notes, build confidence, and successfully preform once comfortable.
Eventually this time will be reserved for the students song of choice which will be practiced every day near the end of our lesson.
(Musician's)- A song will be chosen, we will practice many times, correct notes, build confidence, and successfully preform once comfortable.
6. Evaluation- We will finish the lesson off with a quick report of;
-How they did that day,
-What we will improve on next lessons,
-Things they can practice in their spare time to increase and expand their musical knowledge and talents!!
