About Hafsa Hafeez
I'm Hafsa, a First Class graduate and published writer based in Edinburgh. I've loved reading and writing for as long as I can remember, and much of what I've done since — tutoring, writing articles for a general readership, helping friends with their thesis reports — has been about making language clearer and more confident for other people.
I teach because I remember how much difference one patient teacher made to me at school. English isn't just an exam subject; it's how you think, argue and express yourself, and I want my students to feel at ease with it. Lessons with me are relaxed, focused and built around what you actually need.

I tutor English one-to-one for middle-school students up to O-Level, and my approach starts with the student, not a fixed syllabus. In our first session I work out where they are — reading, writing, grammar, comprehension or exam technique — and build a plan around the gaps. Lessons mix short, focused practice with real texts and plenty of writing, and I give clear, specific feedback so students can see exactly how to improve.
Each lesson is one hour, and the first session is a free trial so we can both decide whether it's a good fit before committing.
I have taught English one-to-one for a year, earned A grades in English at O-Level, A-Level and degree level, and hold an IELTS score of 8.0. I have also worked as a published writer, so I bring a practical eye to structuring, editing and polishing written work.
