About Rose
I studied music at the University of Manchester and graduated with First-Class honours. During my undergraduate degree, I specialised in Musicology (History of Music). This involved a dissertation and variety of essays concerning the political, social and philosophical dimensions of music history. During this time, I also undertook modules in contemporary Japanese history and Chinese communist history. Currently, I study a Master's in Business Marketing. Again, this requires the ability to create coherent, persuasive and balanced essays! I strongly believe that being able to write an effective essay is just as important as the historical content that we learn.

My lessons will focus on the most effective ways to approach essay writing and source analysis. We will study a variety of extracts in order to improve student's ability to criticise the content, context and reliability of historical evidence. Building on this, we will discuss the best ways to plan essays in order to create a balanced and coherent argument. Through this, the student will become more confidence for exams and coursework.
