About Thomas
Hello! :) I'm a First-Class Mathematics graduate from UCL, a full-time Data Scientist and a part-time Tutor for students studying GCSE / A-Levels / IB - specialising in Maths and Physics. I have experience as a private tutor in London both in person and online and as a Teacher for an after-school maths club at Dunraven Sixth Form college, where I taught classes of up to 20 students and held 1-to-1 tutoring sessions helping students getting top-tier universities.

My lessons are prepared in advance and customised based on the tutee's level, interest and objective. I know the struggles of being a student, so I structure my sessions to be engaging and interactive, with the aim of not only helping the pupils achieve the grades and results they deserve, but also infuse them with the passion and courage they need to progress in their academic career. Teaching style: - lessons from 1h to 2h - centred around a topic, past paper or homework - doing = learning, so let’s do lots of exercises! - interactive learning on virtual whiteboard Thank you for your consideration, feel free to reach out if you want to chat further!

Thomas is an incredibly talented mathematician and a really wonderful teacher. He graduated with distinction from University College London (UCL) and is able to communicate his knowledge and expertise in the most understandable way. He is also able to distill complex mathematics and data science including machine learning (on which he is currently completing a master's degree) with both simplicity and patience. If you have a question or are struggling with something he won't just repeat the same explanation but will find new ways of exploration to help you understand. It has been an incredible experience learning from him!
