About Shailaj
I am a first-year medical student at UWA. I also completed a degree in Chemistry from UNSW. Outside of study and academics, I love playing cricket and chess and watching F1. I teach because I want to share my love for science and Chemistry. I think that with the right mentor, anyone has the potential to be an amazing student who loves the process of learning and ultimately succeed.

I achieved an ATAR of 99.40 and hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I also have taught hundreds of students over 3 years so I understand what it takes to succeed in Chemistry. Typical lessons go 1.5h to 2h where I will run through content and practice questions. I understand that every student learns differently so I take on a student-centered approach to teaching where I put a lot of emphasis on active learning, critical thinking, and personalized teaching. I want to ensure that you are not only amazing at Chemistry but also are an amazing student who can take the skills you learn to all aspects of your learning.
