About Conor
Hello! My name is Conor and I am from Co. Kerry. I am currently studying Actuarial and Financial studies in University College Dublin. Having completed the Leaving Certificate the year before last, I would love to help others studying Irish at either Junior Cert or Leaving Cert level. If you’re having a hard time with Irish I hope I can make it easier for you and help you to find it easier and achieve your goals in relation to the exam.
I went to a Gaelscoil, and also went to the Dingle Gaeltacht in 2022 (Daingean Uí Chúis) for two weeks and Ros Muc in Conamara in 2023 for three weeks. I was awarded the ‘Duais-Aiste’ by the State Exams Commission for writing the best essay in the country in Higher Level Irish for the Leaving Cert.
I therefore feel like I can claim fluency and my Leaving Certificate results show I have a precision in grammar and spelling that I developed through hard work.

As a student that achieved 100% (before inflation) in Irish at Leaving Cert level, I know that I can offer you exam-focused notes and tips to help you reach your full potential. I believe that past exam papers are your best friend when preparing for the Leaving Cert exams, and will therefore focus on these. That said, I am more than happy to hone in on specific topics and have H1 essays on numerous topics and vocabulary etc. that will get you a H1 in the literature topics. I was lucky enough to attend a Gaelscoil so even though Irish came easy to me, I struggled with aspects like grammar and occasionally spelling. I improved on this front though, so if you ever want to send me a photo of work you’d like to be corrected I will be more than happy to do so. I also have a lot of notes for chemistry, biology, economics, maths, applied maths and Spanish, and if you buy my grinds in any subject I can give you notes for any subjects you’d like on that list. These notes are all H1 standard as proven by me. Exams are difficult, but I know what examiners want in Irish (and in other subjects), so I can give you what is needed to ace your exams!

Perfect! We are very pleased with Conor! Even though he typically teaches secondary school students, he did an excellent job with my daughter, who is in fifth class. He explained everything clearly and made the lessons engaging. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to improve their Irish!
