About Taye
With 6 years of flute teaching experience and over 150 students guided, I am committed to helping learners of all levels reach their musical potential. I focus on technical skills such as breath control, tone, finger dexterity, and rhythm while encouraging creativity, improvisation, and expressive performance.
Lessons are tailored to the student’s learning style and goals, ensuring steady progress and enjoyment throughout their musical journey. I also cover sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble participation, providing a well-rounded foundation in music. My aim is to nurture confident, skilled, and passionate flautists who love making music.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on creating a flexible, collaborative, and supportive learning environment. I take the time to understand each student’s learning style and adapt lessons to match their strengths, ensuring that practice is effective, engaging, and enjoyable.
Flexibility is key. I adjust exercises, repertoire, and lesson plans to align with the student’s progress, goals, and musical interests. Collaboration is emphasised through duets, group practice, and ensemble exercises that develop confidence, musical sensitivity, and expressive playing. Positivity guides every session, creating a welcoming space where students feel encouraged to take risks, learn from mistakes, and celebrate achievements.
Alongside flute instruction, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This holistic approach balances technical mastery with creativity, helping students develop into confident, expressive, and well-rounded musicians.
