Fluent French speaker, very experienced career professional - French tutor with Judy

I have known Judy as a colleague and friend since she joined the MFL Department at Rugby School in 2006 to teach French and subsequently Italian too. She taught IGCSE and A level and experienced a range of abilities over the years. Judy was a hard-working member of the team, fully committed to her students and helping them to achieve success. She is a kind and understanding individual and enjoyed a very good relationship with her students. Judy also had pastoral responsibilities at Rugby, including some years as an assistant Hm in a Boarding House, and consequently has an excellent knowledge of the nature of young people today.

I worked for many years with Judy at Rugby school.. we were tutors in the same boarding house, so I got to know her very well. I was the Head of Piano and Composition and am now semi retired and the School accompanist and piano teacher. I remain in touch with Judy. She is able to offer French and Italian to GCSE and A level, but would also be an excellent general subjects tutor for younger aged students, and has considerable pastoral experience, as she was the assistant housemistress in School Field at Rugby, and also co-ordinating tutor for the Arnold Foundation students. She is very well organised, brings a spirited enthusiasm to her teaching, has a great sense of humour and is able to push her students in exactly the right individual way to get the very best out of them. She enjoys teaching and students respond very well to her caring, informed and energetic approach. She is a gold-mine of resources, and adopts a creative approach to her lesson planning. She is able to work with students from a wide variety of backgrounds with confidence and leadership.
I recommend her wholeheartedly as a tutor.
