About Bernard
I'm a Spanish and Polish tutor based in North Wales, teaching both online and in person. I came to the language through growing up and living in Spain and originally am from Poland. I've been teaching it for 8 years. My students range from complete beginners to GCSE and A-Level candidates, and I've worked with adults, teenagers and professionals. I'm patient with people who feel self-conscious speaking a new language

My lessons are built around getting you speaking from the first session rather than working through a textbook. I use a communicative approach: real dialogue, useful vocabulary you'll actually reach for, and grammar introduced when it solves a problem you've just run into. Each lesson typically runs 60 minutes, with a short warm-up conversation, a focused topic, and practice you can carry into the week. I adapt pace and materials to each student.
