My piano teaching approach is designed to demystify music theory by connecting it directly to the instrument. This makes learning more engaging and practical. The Exam Taker benefits from a step-by-step method that ensures accuracy and clarity for formal assessments. The Classical Performer gains tools to interpret repertoire with greater depth and insight. My lessons are structured but always flexible to meet the individual student’s goals. I use exercises, real repertoire, and improvisation to reinforce ideas. We also explore how theory supports composition and arrangement, opening doors for creativity. This holistic method builds confident musicians who understand both how and why music works. Each student is encouraged to think critically about their playing.
