About Lisa
I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and have had careers as a communications strategist and fiction author. Most recently, I've worked for two years as a part-time reading tutor in a Chicago public school. In this position, I worked with small groups of students (no more than four) to help build or improve reading skills post-pandemic.

I'm a hands-on tutor who makes lessons interactive. I work with children between the ages of five and twelve who may be at the beginning of their reading journeys, or those who might need help moving to the next level. I also have experience working with EdTech software platforms Amplify and Amira. A typical lesson might include a game of Word Tic-Tac-Toe or a game of Word Detective.
