About Colby
I am a former Division I volleyball athlete with experience competing at multiple collegiate programs and currently playing professionally overseas. Volleyball has been a central part of my life for over a decade, giving me a deep understanding of both the technical and mental sides of the game.
I bring a thoughtful, structured, and supportive approach to coaching. Having played under a variety of coaching styles, I understand how important clear communication, patience, and confidence building are for young athletes. My goal is to help players feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and developing their skills without pressure.
I take pride in being detail-oriented and fundamentals-focused, especially when it comes to passing, defense, and court awareness. I enjoy helping athletes understand their role on the court and build confidence in their abilities, whether they are new to volleyball or looking to improve their performance for school or club play.

My volleyball lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a high volleyball IQ in young athletes. With experience playing at multiple Division I programs and currently competing professionally overseas, I understand what skills actually translate to success on the court.
Lessons are structured, intentional, and age appropriate. Each session typically includes a dynamic warm up, skill focused drills tailored to the athlete’s position and level, and guided feedback to help players understand not just what to do, but why it matters. I emphasize proper technique, decision making, and consistency rather than quick fixes.
What sets my coaching apart is my ability to break down complex skills into simple, teachable steps. I specialize in helping athletes improve passing, defense, court awareness, and overall confidence, especially for players who may feel overlooked or unsure of their role.
These lessons are ideal for beginner to intermediate youth players who want to improve their fundamentals, prepare for school or club volleyball, and develop a stronger understanding of the game in a supportive environment.
