Overwhelmed by college essays? Have creative ideas sketched out in a notebook but no idea where to go with them? Do you struggle when asked to analyze written texts, develop a thesis statement for an essay, or proofread your own work? I’m here to help.
I taught in middle & high school English classrooms for 15 years and I am also a published author with two essays collections to my name. Words are my world, and I love nothing more than helping students navigate that world with confidence.
Building relationships with students is incredibly important to me, so I will prioritize getting to know you, your needs and your learning style in order to best support you. I can’t wait to work together!

Nishta was my English teacher and mentor throughout my 4 years of high school and I can say, without a doubt, she is the best teacher I’ve ever had. She is brilliant and thoughtful while meeting her students where they are with a truly remarkable level of care and patience. Nishta is an incredible writer and has helped me improve my own creative writing so much with her constructive advice. Nishta truly helps her students make sense of and think deeper about novels read both in and out of class and how they relate to the world around us. If you’re looking for an all around English-whiz and genuinely kind human being, Nishta is the teacher for you!
