About Gul
I am an experienced tutor who has taught students from very diverse backgrounds. I have lived and worked in Hong Kong, UK, Australia and Singapore so I believe I come from a diverse background myself! Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked extensively with students from varying linguistic and cultural backgrounds. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons using a blended approach in meeting students’ learning needs. My teaching methodology incorporates a variety of tools and approaches, including multimedia resources, collaborative projects, and individualized instruction, to support language acquisition while promoting student confidence and engagement. I am excited for the opportunity to teach you!

I am a former English Language Teacher at the University of Sydney where I teach IELTS, reading, writing and speaking skills to international students. Previously I have worked in Hong Kong and London at various schools and institutions which has also involved designing and updating course material and assessments. Currently I am teaching English for Academic Purposes at Southern Cross University.
I am a very approachable person and my teaching style is less authoritative and more engaging and dynamic. Due to my extensive teaching background, I have a wealth of resources which I can share with you that cover all aspects of English language proficiency.
I am highly competent at delivering lessons on Zoom to groups of students up to 18. I have experience tutoring all age groups from Beginners to advanced.

MA in Education from King's College London
BA in English Language and Literature (University of Hong Kong)
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (University of Hong Kong)
CERT IV Training and assessment
NESA Accredited teacher for primary and secondary schools (NSW Australia)
