About Oliver
After completing my Economics Masters degree at Nottingham I have15 years experience of working with economics A-level students of all abilities and backgrounds. Over time I have built up in depth knowledge of the AQA and Ed Excel syllabus
Its not just about working through the content and preparing for the exams, but also in motivating themselves to do the best that they possibly can.
When I go into a class I really don't want to be doing all the talking, after introducing the content I want them to be actively thinking about how it can be applied in exam questions, and how they can secure the top marks for that particular question. Evaluation is key and is a discipline that will be reinforced from the very beginning.

About the lesson

Lessons are heavily syllabus focused where I will introduce the core economic principles as they apply to a particular exam board, and then we will look at example questions from the relevant paper.
The student will then go on to answer an exam style question on the content that I have introduced. As we move closer to the exam more emphasis is placed on exam techniques and timings.
There are very rarely suprise s in the exam - a students final result will be very closely correlated to the amount of effort they have put in.
