About Tim
Since I am a fourth-year physics student, I have experienced and passed all of mathematics through Calculus IV, so I have seen and studied every math concept several times. And, since I study physics, I need to be experienced in actually understanding and applying these math concepts.
For music, I have played the piano since I was 3, and had lessons for 13 years. I have also played the violin for 10 years, and the guitar for 13. I have taken music theory all through high school and participated in ensembles from fourth grade to college.

I prepare my lesson plan with a slight debrief on what the student is learning for the day, then have a small break for some questions to hear their engagement and gauge how prepared they are for that lesson of the day. I then proceed to lecture for as long as I can and periodically stop for questions and clarification. If there is free time afterwards (which there should), then the student will use that time to do work on their own, and ask questions when they need to.
These lessons will be for grade school kids, but if I need to teach college-level kids, the only thing I would change is the length of the lectures. Each lecture would then be shorter than normal, and the amount of work time will be longer, since college-level courses can be more challenging to work through.
