About Florence
My family and I come from France and arrived in Halifax in April 2024. I have ten years of experience teaching French as a second language in Paris, where I was born, and Toulouse.
I am a certified teacher who graduated from Alliance Française of Paris in 2010 and have assisted students of many backgrounds with a variety of needs and goals. This is why my classes are tailored to each learner.
I took a parental leave to home-educate my two children before moving to Canada. Teaching my own children was another beautiful pedagogical journey that focused on their own needs and rhythms.
Now that my children have grown up and are attending French CSAP schools here in Dartmouth, it is time for me to go back to work. Thus, I am available for you and eager to mentor and assist you with French.
Ma petite famille et moi venons de France. Nous nous sommes installés à Halifax en Avril 2024. En France, j’ai exercé comme professeur de FLE pendant 10 ans, à Paris où je suis née, puis à Toulouse. Professeur diplômée de l’Alliance Française de Paris, j’ai accompagné des élèves de tout horizons, ayant chacun des besoins qui leur étaient propres. C’est pour cela que j’ai toujours construit mes cours sur mesure pour chacun d’eux.
J’ai ensuite pris d’un congé parental pour instruire mes deux enfants à la maison avant de partir vivre au Canada. Enseigner à mes propres enfants fut une grande et belle aventure et encore une occasion d’approfondir mes capacités pédagogiques en gardant en tête leurs besoins et leur rythme propres.
Maintenant, il est temps pour moi de reprendre mon activité professionnelle puisque mes enfants ont bien grandi et vont dans les écoles françaises du CSAP ici à Dartmouth. Je suis donc disponible et enthousiaste à l'idée de vous offrir mon aide en français.
