She taught a garment construction short course that I enrolled in. It was my first time behind a sewing machine and I completed that course feeling like I could go on to be the next Gert. She's patient and kind but also pushes you to complete each assignment one stitch at a time, it doesn't hurt that she teaches you tricks to remember basic sewing 101 and commit it to memory quicker.
