About Mounia
I am a MFL teacher and I have taught students from ages 3-19 in the past 5 years, my students have gone on to well known sixth forms and universities. I have taught all over London and Asia teaching various subjects.

In the summer of my second year of my undergraduate degree, I decided to volunteer in China to teach and obtain my TEFL qualification. During this trip, I had the chance to travel to amazing cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Xiamen. I was able to teach for a week in each city to children with a wide range of English skills; the week consisted of teaching English, playing games and educating the English culture to the Chinese students. I learned to be empathetic a culmination of my diverse experiences, the diverse culture and the diversity of the people I met. Flexibility is another attribute I inherited in my trip to Asia, I learned to be open-minded and understand any situations that can happen, and I learned to work with all types of people no matter how challenging they were. I became much more tolerant than I used to be by respecting a culture that I didn’t understand but learned to adapt to. This is the sort of exchange is something I would love to teach the students to embrace.
Through my teaching placements, I have been able to teach, plan for and assess young people across the full secondary age and ability range and I have had the opportunity to work with several pupils with SEN. On my first placement I was asked to work with a small group of students who reported neuro atypical conditions and mental health wellbeing issues. I worked with them to set short-term learning goals and led short, daily, informal yoga and meditation sessions. Other staff commented that they had noticed improvements in the concentration levels of these pupils and a marked improvement in attendance.
