About Elizabeth
I am a second year student at the University of Sheffield and have been studying French 9 years. Having studied the language for such a length of time I have experienced a wide range of teaching styles and therefore know how to adapt to new students and also create interesting learning plans that will actually engage and improve the language capabilities of my students.

I believe that the best way to learn the language is to practice. For me, it is all about practical application rather than lecturing. A wide range of vocabulary in key and therefore I set vocab lists to learn alongside each topic we study. Having been through the school curriculum, I know that after a certain point the teaching focus shifts somewhat from practical, conversational French, to topic-oriented lessons which impact your ability and confidence at having 'normal' conversations. I therefore build time in to focus on the basics and maintain a high level of casual French, as well as the more specific areas.
