About Gayathri
I am a student at the university of Leeds, studying French & Middle Eastern Studies. Studying French has been my passion since a very early age and it is a subject area in which I have always excelled. I gained an A* grade in French iGCSE and a high grade A at both AS & A-Level. Though I have not formally tutored, I have offered informal help to my peers & colleagues throughout my academic career, which I believe has equipped me with the fundamental skills that are required in order to aid people in progressing with the French language.

I would say that I am a compassionate yet diligent person - two character traits that complement my ethos when it comes to teaching. I believe that a holistic approach is key, specifically with learning a language. Of course grammar is what underpins the language, but I believe that oral and aural skills are just as important, and this is what I would hope to relay to students. I found that the way that grammar is taught in schools is often overcomplicated. This is something that I would hope to simplify and teach in a more interactive & engaging way so that students can have more of a well-rounded understanding.
