About Zainab
As mentioned, I am an IB French HL student with a predicted level 6 which is equivalent to a 96%. Additionally, I have my DELF B2 and am aware of how the DELF exams work. I have experience in not only professional situations where French has been needed but also in academic settings such as French peer tutoring. I have been speaking the language for more than half of my life now. I understand the struggle that comes with learning it, and am more than happy to help with the journey! Due to my experience in IB, I have been exposed to many different French accents and regional slangs, and can assure a good understanding of each of those aspects.

I have a flexible schedule for lessons, and believe that immersion is crucial to learning a language. Hence, I try to incorporate not only grammatical skills into the lesson, but also the different ways that French is spoken and the customs the language brings with it. That being said, I will teach students the basics such as tenses, grammar, and structure, but will also teach them how to understand different French accents such as the Parisian or Québécois accents. Additionally, immersion includes understanding aspects of the French culture, and so every now and then I will have lessons surrounding aspects of French history and culture, where students will be able to build their speaking and comprehension skills. I believe that education should be easily accessible and this means creating a comfortable learning environment, so please do not hesitate to share your needs with me as I will ensure to make any necessary adjustments to optimize your learning.
