About April
Hey, I'm April it's lovely to meet you. I'm 33 and live in Sheffield with my rescue dog and 2 cats. I'd love to hear more about your pets if you have any! I am a qualified teacher and have taught at secondary schools and colleges as well as online tutoring and teaching English as a second language. If you have any questions please just get in touch -there is no such thing as a silly question!

I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher offering lessons in KS3 and GCSE Biology and Maths. I have taught learners of all abilities and ages across Secondary Schools, Further Education College and Online Tutoring. I specialise in supporting anxious students and those who need a confidence boost in their learning. My calm and friendly teaching style ensures a relaxed environment where there’s no such thing as a silly question! I believe that teaching and learning should be fun and engaging to achieve the best results. I have a Degree in Biomedical Science and a PGCE in Secondary School Science from Sheffield University. When I am not tutoring I love going out walking with my dog, Poppy! If you have any pets, I can't wait to hear all about them! I also love going to music gigs, going on holidays abroad and in the UK, and keeping active in the gym (okay, I don't quite love this last bit!) I am happy to cover any topics that you need further support with as well as revision techniques, practising exam style questions, and practical skills. Please note: for me to support you better please let me know which topics you would like to focus on at least 2 full days before your first lesson.
