About Daniel
My name is Daniel and I graduated from The University of Otago with a degree in Bachelors of Applied Sciences, Forensic Analytical Sciences in 2021. Since then, I have worked in the environmental sciences field. I started my career in a commercial laboratory then I shifted onto field work. I am currently employed by a globally leading consultancy company, specialising in hazardous materials. I get to travel, collect samples, and it is a massively enjoyable career.
I tutor as a hobby as a way for me to stay connected with scientific thinking and curiosity. I think fondly back to my younger days of studying highschool level Biology and Chemistry and I aim to provide the same experience to my students.
I am younger than most tutors on this website, but also mature enough to provide insight into the job market. I have a laid-back personality and my classes will be more on the casual side.

I am tutoring as a hobby and a way for me to stay connected with my scientific interests and to maintain scientific thinking and curiosity, so as well as covering the course material I love to bring in real-world examples and fascinating recent discoveries to my lessons.
Each lesson will be individually tailored to be engaging and exciting, while covering key academic details. I am familiar with the examination process having done NCEA and IGCSE as well as CIE A level examinations. I have had experience tutoring NCEA and 100 level University papers.
My goal is to have my students enjoy science as much as I do and to pursue scientific thinking and curiosity.
