About Charlie
I am studying Politics and Economics at Cardiff University with a high 2:1 in Politics and First Class Honours in Economics. Prior Education was underwent at Weald of Kent Grammar School with 4 A Levels in English Literature, Sociology, Psychology and Music and 10 GCSES at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys. I am a keen teacher and work well with students due to my adaptive teaching style and manor, conducting my lessons in ways which helps students understand the work, rather than just a teacher telling students what to do. I am also a very patient individual as I know the stresses of exams and I appreciate the pressure one can put on themselves to succeed which I hope will foster a positive environment for my pupils to learn.

My teaching method focusses on making links between the content the pupil will need and real life interests they have. This philosophy is backed through research into semantic memory which states we are more likely to remember things we find important or we can associate with. Therefore it is my belief that, along with repetition, if I can find a way to help the pupil associate the content with their interests they will learn more effectively.

Details
The rates vary depending on the level of the student and what they need help with. If the student needs basic help then a basic rate will apply e.g. if the student needs help with their 11+ test. However as the education level increases (KS3 and GCSE) then the rate will adjust accordingly.
