About Josh
I'm a friendly, young, yet professional tutor currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge. I have several years of experience tutoring GCSE students and helping them to see clear improvements in their understanding, confidence and grades! I am passionate about Maths, Chemistry and Physics and this comes through in my teaching.
My interests outside of academia include captaining the football team at my Cambridge college, working out, hiking and seeing live music.

My tutoring sessions take place over zoom, and I provide additional support to students outside of the sessions, where needed, using email.
The goal of these sessions will be to further your understanding of primary and secondary school topics in a fun, stimulating and challenging way.
To keep the sessions engaging, I use Google Jamboard to teach flexibly and in real-time, in addition to my own resources, Kahoot quizzes and interactive revision sites.
My methodology is built upon being relatable to current students, having taken my GCSEs only four years ago. I have tutored many students in person over the last two years, developing a strong rapport through being easy-going, supportive, patient and incredibly passionate about teaching.
I will quickly establish the level at which to pitch lessons for each individual student, aiming to build on their strengths and challenging them to go further.
I have experience tutoring, both online and in-person in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Having achieved 10 A* grades at GCSE and 3 A* grades at A-Level, I am confident in what is needed to improve as a student within the UK education system.
My lessons are aimed at students aged 14-16 who are studying for their GCSEs or those who want additional support before starting their A-levels. I also have experience teaching KS3 students.
