About Rachel
I am an artist and writer who graduated with a first-class degree from the University of Oxford in 2023.
I enjoy writing poetry and prose as part of my artistic practice, and I have also produced writing for exhibitions and exhibition guides.
I have had my writing published in publications like Asterisk Journal of Art and Art History, and I have won a prize for the best entry to a feminist zine by Empower Her Voice.
My other interests include performance art, watching films and baking.
I have been tutoring since 2017.

I can teach any level up to A Level. My past experience has been in tutoring year 9 students and GCSE students.
I will set goals with you based on the skills and subject matter that you would like to learn, and each lesson will have specific learning objectives based on those goals.
I can cover skills including essay structure, language and structural analysis, sentence structures, creative writing, grammar and more.
I am eager to recap any areas of weakness over time, to cement your understanding. I can give detailed feedback on written work.
I have knowledge of examined texts including The Great Gatsby, Streetcar Named Desire, Macbeth, Power & Conflict poetry anthology, Lord of the Flies and Rapture (Carol Ann Duffy).

I really enjoyed Rachel's tutoring classes. She first taught me English for a year for GCSE and then helped me with philosophy for two years for A-level. Not only does she have a really well structured approach, but she also is able to explain complex concepts in a simple way which is easy to understand.
