About Luke
Psychology can be fascinating, but studying it can sometimes feel overwhelming — especially when you're faced with unfamiliar theories, research methods or an essay question that you don't know how to approach.
Hi! I'm Luke, and I'm currently in the final year of my Psychology master's degree. I have a genuine passion for understanding why people think, feel and behave the way they do, and I love making psychological ideas easier to understand.
My approach is friendly, patient and completely judgement-free. I don't believe you need to already be confident or have all the answers before coming to a lesson. Whether you're struggling to understand a particular topic, unsure how to structure an essay, or simply want to feel more confident with Psychology, I'll work with you at your own pace.
I particularly enjoy helping students move from simply memorising psychological theories and studies to actually understanding them, applying them and explaining them in their own words.
My aim is simple: to help you become more confident, independent and comfortable with Psychology.

My lessons are relaxed, interactive and tailored to you. Rather than simply talking at you for an hour, we'll focus on the areas you actually want to improve.
Depending on your goals, lessons can include:
• Breaking down difficult psychological theories and concepts into simple, understandable explanations
• Working through research methods and understanding how psychological studies are designed and evaluated
• Developing essay structure and learning how to construct clear, well-supported arguments
• Practising applying psychological concepts to questions rather than simply memorising information
• Reviewing topics you find difficult and identifying areas for improvement
• Working through practice questions together and building confidence in answering them independently
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt the pace and structure depending on your needs.
I'm in my final year of my Psychology master's, giving me recent experience of studying psychology at university level, completing academic assignments and working with research methods.
I welcome students who may feel nervous about Psychology or who simply want some extra support alongside their existing studies.
I can teach GCSE, A-level and university-level students, as well as adults who are interested in learning Psychology for their own personal development.
Every lesson is adapted to your level, goals and learning style. My goal isn't just to help you get through your next assignment or exam — it's to help you understand Psychology well enough to feel confident tackling it yourself.
