Olivia has been a fantastic tutor for my daughter. Olivia is an excellent English tutor. She helped my son with GCSE's English language and literature when he was struggling and had low mock results. Olivia worked for me at Kumon for three years during her time at university. She proved to be a hardworking and committed tutor and successfully worked with children aged 5 and up in both English and Maths. She was especially successful in teaching English and is obviously passionate about the subject. She developed a clear teaching manner and a friendly and encouraging attitude that complemented the Kumon method perfectly. Although her main focus was to work with one student, she quite quickly became very popular with others.

The Year 11 student Olivia worked with, had become disengaged with her education, had previously school refused and struggled with low confidence and self esteem.

Through Olivia's caring attitude, hard work and determination, she worked tirelessly with the student, firstly to build up trust which then enabled her to work on a 1-1 basis, which at times was very challenging. However despite being met with numerous barriers, Olivia managed to re-engage the student and prepare her fantastically for her GCSE examinations.
Thanks to Olivia the student managed to sit all GCSE's which was brilliant! If it hadn't been for Olivia's support the student would most probably have struggled to sit any and wouldn't be where she is today.
