About Ivy
With 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, I guide singers in jazz and blues improvisation. I focus on scat singing, melodic embellishment, and advanced harmonic concepts. Lessons include ear training, scale application, and developing a personal improvisational style. I work with singers of all levels, emphasising strong technique and expressive performance. Each session is tailored to the student’s voice, strengths, and goals. I also focus on rhythm, phrasing, and stylistic authenticity. Improvisation is approached step by step, making it accessible and exciting. I help singers build confidence, creativity, and musical understanding. Lessons are interactive and encourage experimentation. My approach blends structure with freedom, ensuring artistic growth. Students learn to connect emotionally with every note they sing. I aim to cultivate versatile, self-assured vocalists ready to explore their musical potential.

My singing lessons emphasise breath control and diaphragmatic support. I teach exercises to build stamina while maintaining vocal health. Students learn to sing longer phrases without tension. Every lesson focuses on foundational techniques for a strong, resilient voice. I work with The Suzuki Student and The Orchestra Member, providing tailored exercises to ensure stability and precision. Lessons also include tone production, pitch accuracy, and expressive interpretation. I guide singers step by step, helping them develop control and confidence. Vocal endurance is strengthened gradually and safely. Practice routines are designed to reinforce technique and musical understanding. Each session is engaging and supportive. I emphasise consistent progress and mindful singing. Students leave with better breath management and stronger vocal stamina. My goal is to cultivate healthy, confident, and versatile voices.
