About Jaryd
I am an old Jeppe boy who matriculated with a distinction average and was a full colors academic recipient. My tutoring career started when I was only 16 years old by tutoring grades below me. After having vast improvements with my students, my name was spread which gave me the opportunity to build my tutoring network and help those in need.
My passion for maths inspired me to pursue a career along it, resulting in me now studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences to become an Artificial Intelligence Specialist.
I see maths a representation of the world and logic in the form of numbers and formulas, and having the ability to understand it has only grown my curiosity and will to learn deeper.

I am 19 years old and young. This gives me the advantage to bond with my students at a personal level to ensure they are comfortable enough to come to me with whatever topic they are struggling with.
I am extroverted and very approachable, this allows students to block out the pressure they're exposed to, such as tests, and to approach the questions with a clear mind and, most importantly, confidence.
I not only dedicate time to content and formulas, but I focus on the different approaches a student can tackle a problem with. This gives them the chance to work with their strongest approach and even have alternative avenues to check their work.
I go over the application of the chosen method and approach to ensure they have the most confidence when facing exam and go through the process of working out in the most time effective and correct manner.
Although I am young, please do not think I am new to this. I have been a tutor for 3.5 years. What started as a side hustle to earn pocket money, became a passion which I carry proudly today and have based my career off my passion, allowing me to study applied mathematics and computer sciences at Wits. My inclined mathematical ability allows me to be strong in every topic of maths from grade 4 to matric. Let me help you. All I need is the opportunity!
