About Mayara
At the moment, I teach as a private English teacher and perform freelance copy editing and translation services. I have a Bilingual Degree in Languages from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, in Brazil, and completed a postgraduate degree in Book and Magazines Publishing from Centennial College, in Toronto, where I lived for a year and a half, returning in 2013. I have 9 years of experience as a teacher, besides having already acted the coordinator of a language school, Portuguese writing teacher, designer, editor and editorial assistant of magazines and books.

I like to shape my methodology to the student or class. Some students learn better with the communicative method, while others prefer grammar. Some need to start with lessons in English and move to Portuguese slowly; others want 100% Portuguese lessons right from the start. No matter your need, I adapt to whatever you want. I only ask you to be interested and strive in your student duties. We will go at your pace and speed!

Classes are modulated according to the student's availability and need. I have basic packages and, from this, I increase and decrease the workload and prices if it is wanted to. There is no material cost because I do not use textbooks (unless the student wants). The packages are:
INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS
Option 1: 2 classes per week during 1: 30hr each or 1 class per week during 3 hours
Monthly Price: R $ 550
Option 2: 2 classes per week during 1 hour each or 1 class per week during 2 hours
Monthly Price: R $ 400
GROUPS
2 students: 2 classes per week during 1: 30hr each or 1 class per week during 3 hours
Monthly Price: R $ 250 for each student
3 students: 2 classes per week during 1: 30hr each or 1 class per week during 3 hours
Monthly Price: R $ 200 for each student
4 students or more: 2 classes per week during 1: 30hr each or 1 class per week during 3 hours
Monthly Price: R $ 150 for each student
