About Venu
I am a FY2 doctor working in Gateshead, having completed my MBBS at Newcastle University which included a year at Imperial College London. I attended the City of London School for Boys, achieving 10A*s and 2As at GCSE and 3A*s and an A at A-Level.
I've always understood the value of education from my upbringing and from the position it has placed me in. Looking back on each educational checkpoint in my life (SATS, 11+, GCSEs, A-levels), the role of tutors has been key to both building my confidence and making education an enjoyable experience.
This exposure has given me the tools and the knowledge which I have now been passing on to my own pupils for the past eight years. As a private home tutor, I have worked with individuals aged five to fifteen, helping to develop their knowledge in the core subjects. The bulk of my work however has been in 11+ preparations for the top schools in London. I have had a range of successes with my pupils.
My style has always been a very supportive one - identifying the areas of strengths and improvements early on so we can work on the latter whilst maintaining the former. Along the way I want to build their belief in their own ability which is key to them succeeding where they need help. There will be several progress checkpoints along the way which will aid this, and I always value positive feedback both to the pupil and their parents.
With me, you will be guaranteed a friendly, approachable and adaptable tutor who will expend a range of techniques and resources to ensure your children have found their own foothold in their subject. Because after all, every child is unique.
