Johann helped my daughter to prepare for her GCSE maths exams for the few months leading up to them. He spent an hour a week going through questions and helping her revise. He was always polite , punctual and very responsive and my daughter found the sessions very helpful and easy to follow.

I stumbled across Johann's profile whilst in need of a GCSE Maths Tutor to help turn around my child's grades who had been reassigned to the Foundation paper as their teachers believed they would have more of a chance. Conscious of my own child's ability, I contacted Johan having read positive reviews and explained, the situation, its challenges and the goals I was hoping could be achieved. This was in early Jan 2022, when my child was tracking at a GCSE Level 3-4.

After a long time away from a maths classroom I wanted to go back and learn the maths I had always enjoyed at school.
I could not have asked for a better Tutor than Johann: he is able to get complex ideas across easily, has a great sense of humour, listens carefully when I have questions, is blessed with great patience when he can easily see the next step that I am agonising over, and is very well organised.
His use of bitpaper also makes the online aspect of lessons easy as we are both using the same document at the same time.
The end result is that I have been able to learn fast, to have fun, I’ve been given the space to work things out in my own time and have built my confidence in my ability to understand maths in a way that would have been impossible without Johann’s great help.

Johann has done great work with my son. And does it in a way that maintains my son's interest (which is not easily done). Johann is proactive in identifying the areas that need work as well as reactive to what Oliver wants support on. Oliver was predicted a 7, and got an 8 in his Mocks!

Johann has been a huge help to our 13 year old son, Riley, who was moved into top set and faced with a higher tier paper within a few weeks of returning to school. He had not previously studied the majority of the areas on the test and was overwhelmed by the enormity of the task before him, so we contacted Johann for support.
